Neurovascular Release (NVR)

NVR focusses on releasing tension in the neurovascular bundles-structures that contain nerves, arteries, and veins-throughout the body.  The goal of NVR is to restore proper function and ease in the body's nervous and circulatory systems by addressing the fascial restrictions that can impact these neurovascular bundles.

Key Aspects of NVR:

1. Fascial Release.  NVR involves working with the fascia surrounding neurovascular bundles to release tension and adhesions.  Since fascia is interconnected throughout the body, restrictions can lead to pain or dysfunction in another.  By targeting the fascia that envelops nerves and blood vessels, NVR aims to alleviate these restrictions.

2. Gentle and precise techniques.  Techniques used in NVR are typically gentle, as the tissues involved are delicate.  Subtle hands-on techniques are used to encourage the fascia to release its grip on the neurovascular structures, allowing them to glide more freely.

3. Whole-body approach.  While specific areas may be targeted during a session, NVR considers the body as an interconnected system.  Releasing fascial tension in one area can have a positive effect on the other parts of the body, leading to improved overall function and well-being.

NVR can be beneficial for a wide range of issues, including chronic pain, circulatory problems, and conditions involving the nervous system, such as headaches or neuropathy.
